Özet:The objective of this research is to develop a proposal for a Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) plan for the maintenance area of the vehicle fleet of the company CARGOSTEEL S.A. The company offers heavy cargo transportation services nationwide. Through a field investigation it was identified that in the maintenance area there are some problems among them; the company does not have a maintenance plan for its vehicle fleet, reason for which they present unscheduled stops generating corrective maintenance reducing its availability and useful life time; in addition, problems related to occupational safety have been detected where workers are exposed to physical risks, such as heavy machinery, power tools and chemicals. Therefore, the development of a TPM plan is proposed. For this purpose, a descriptive investigation was carried out on the vehicle fleet by collecting technical data sheets of the vehicles, in addition to an interview with the maintenance manager to develop the criticality matrix and through the analysis of the maintenance history, the failure mode and effect analysis matrix (FMEA) was performed and it was identified that the vehicles have a higher level of criticality in the transmission, engine and brake systems, with DAF vehicles being particularly critical. Finally, cloud Fleet software was used to facilitate maintenance management in the vehicle fleet. From the results obtained, through the implementation of the proposal there was a 14% increase in the availability of vehicles from 82% to 96%, also the mean time between failures (MTBF) increased by 641.25 h, which indicates the operational time in the vehicle fleet, also the decrease in the meantime to repair (MTTR) in 71.58 h in maintenance hours which guarantees an increase in the availability of the fleet. These measures will contribute to improving the company's service.
