| Čoahkkáigeassu: | The construction of a test bench was performed to determine the tuning factors of a PID (Proportional Integral Derivative) controller for a Pressure Control loop, based on procedure analysis and instability tests of the pressure variable on the built-in test bench. In order to obtain the simulation of the process, water was used as a system fluid, and devices with industrial characteristics similar to the processes of separation of crude oil. For the controller, an Allen Bradley brand industrial PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) with expansion cards for analog inputs and outputs was used. The tests determined the tuning factors by the Zieler and Nichols Methods of Open Loop and Closed Loop. These factors should be taken as a first approximation of the required values, which usually require a later refinement, to obtain the desired behavior and performance of the control system in the actual process. During the oscillation of the system it was observed that in the motor-pump the current has an increase of consumption proportional to the increase of the pressure, the variation is equal to the period of oscillation of the process, this determines that the maximum efficiency and a lower energy consumption Is obtained when the process variable is in stable form and the pressure control loop is fully tuned. |
