| 要約: | Food is a key element in the integral development of children, as an instrument for providing the necessary nutrients for the performance of all the activities that the individual daily basis, conserving the health and well-being of all people, especially in the case of children with intellectual disabilities, as their conditions are unfavorable and represent a obstruction to their development, they should be encouraged from the diet to improve them. The problem that was addressed in the present investigation is the poor diet of children with intellectual disabilitiesat “Unidad Educativa Especializada Cotopaxi" to Latacunga canton, where it has been identified that children do not arrive at the institution having breakfast, lunch sent by parents mainly consists of snacks, chips and sugary drinks, which reflects a poor diet, otherwise the institution does not sell healthy foods for the consumption of children with intellectual disabilities. The objective of this researching is to determine the incidence of poor student nutrition in learning, for which a methodology has been used in the qualitative and quantitative approach, literature and field research, inductive deductive method and the techniques of the survey and interview applied to parents and authorities of the institution to determine the current state of nutrition maintained by children with intellectual disabilities. The contribution of this investigation is theoretical and practical, because it argues under scientific concepts the impact that food has on cognitive development, so in practice both parents, teachers and authorities should seek to provide a healthy, sufficient and balanced diet to guarantee your good health and learning The impacts generated by the research were in health, social and educational since children require the necessary guarantees in health and nutrition to achieve a good academic performance that helps them achieve greater personal development. The results obtained in the research support the nutritional deficiencies of the population, parents lack the knowledge to provide adequate food, children have high consumption of carbohydrates and snacks that are harmful to their health and put at risk learning and integral development of children with intellectual disabilities. |
