A quantity of sanitary waste of 2786.12 Kg / year was obtained, of which 336.6 Kg / year have been managed correctly, there is an average of 2449.52 Kg / year of waste delivered to recyclers, without any prior handling or treatment for final use. disposal, that is, only 12.1% of the waste is being properly treated and 87.9% is being disposed of in landfills. Based on these results, a waste management manual was prepared, both for non-hazardous or common waste, and for hazardous waste (infectious devices, chemical, pharmaceutical and medical, radioactive and others), all wastes containing organic substances and / or chemical, with CRTIB characteristics: Corrosive - Reactive - Toxic - Flammable - Bioinfectious. La Zona de Planificación 2 la conforman tres provincias Napo, Pichincha y Orellana. La Dirección Nacional del Seguro Social Campesino del Instituto Ecuatoriano de Seguridad Social, cuenta con 39 dispensarios médicos de tipo 2, distribuidos en las tres provincias. Para la realización del análisis histórico se realizó el diagnóstico actual de los dispensarios, se caracterizaron los desechos generados y se registraron en una base de datos, posteriormente se diseñó el manual de gestión integral de los desechos peligrosos y bio-infecciosos. En el análisis histórico se obtuvo la cantidad de desechos sanitarios de 2786.12 Kg/año, de los cuales se ha gestionado correctamente 336.6Kg/año. Existe un promedio de 2449.52Kg/año de desechos entregado a los recolectores de residuos, sin ninguna gestión o tratamiento previo para su disposición final, es decir que solo un 12.1% de los desechos en la actualidad están siendo tratados adecuadamente y un 87.9% están siendo desechados directamente a los botaderos de basura.
