Crynodeb:The biodegradable packaging has become indicators of social and especially environmental awareness as time goes. Which are manufactured from different composite materials, thus acquiring resistance, impermeability and degradation characteristics. This way, the main objective of this investigation is designing a biodegradable packaging prototype from the agave fiber, of two different species: Agave Americana L. and Agave Furcraea A., through a literature repertoire, specifically taking advantage of the leaves (fiber) as raw material. In terms of methodology, a mixed and exploratory research were used, in order to search for scientific information, by means of a bibliographic collection drawn from different documents such as theses, scientific articles, research projects, books and scientific journals. Which have already implemented, dating at least from 2015 to the present. Thereby, the comparison of results and selection of information was carried out. The activities effectuated start from a bibliographic comparison of agave fiber extraction methodologies, to qualitatively choose the appropriate methodologies, after this, the specifications of the mold were released through a manual, then a quantitative comparison was accomplished bibliographically from the data, regarding hydraulic pressures, a guide was finally developed for the analysis of the physicochemical and microbiological characteristics of the container. Obtaining as results: 1) a different fiber extraction methodology by joining three of them (immersion in water for a day, cooking the leaves for three to four hours and ending with a fiber brushing) which were selected by a comparative table. Likewise: 2) the dimensions of the mold are estimated, both of the punch and of the die, dimensions of the die were; external part of (170x170mm), its internal part of (140x140mm) and that the diameter of its edges is (Ø 110.67mm). Similarly, the dimension of the punch was; external part of (Ø 164 mm, 42.10 mm), its internal part of (Ø 100 mm, 4 mm), with a diameter of its base (Ø 78.21mm). On the other hand, 3) the estimated hydraulic pressure for the biomass composed from agave fiber is 80 Psi for a time of 40 s, at a temperature of 100 ° C. Finally, 4) guidelines were obtained from laboratory analysis, valued by national and international standards (NTE INEN 1429, DIN 53739, UNE-EN 13432, MINSA 461 and NTE INEN 1529-1), both for the physicochemical and microbiological aspects of the biodegradable container. Letting know that the estimated specifications as well as for the design dimensions, hydraulic pressure, methodologies in the fiber extraction process and the current regulations, for the certification of biodegradable containers
