Sumari: | This research was based on the level analysis of the social capital Artisans Association at "La Victoria," located in Pujilí - Cotopaxi Province. Basic concepts, definitions and the methodology applied to fulfill the objectives were considered such as to infer the different theories associated to the social capital and the measurement ways, the Artisans Association's current situation analysis at La Victoria, and the capital valuation through indicators or dimensions that are established in the literature. The necessary information was collected, and a situational diagnosis was carried out with the aid of a quantifiable instrument applied to the artisans, which were taken as a reference from a study by Deusto University to measure the social capital of organizations. This instrument was applied to a sample of 41 artisans belonging to the communities "La Victoria" and "El Tejar." The methodology was quantitative, using the hypothesis contrasting techniques, regression estimation by ordinary least squares, and factor analysis to identify dimensions in which the data can be associated. The results showed that the level of social capital, obtaining evidence an average value of 3,7063, which could indicate that the members' valuation is good. There were statistically significant differences in the social capital valuation by charge, seniority, and gender, which allowed a linear regression analysis to estimate the determinants of social capital, which found that only gender was significant in the explanation. Finally, the factor analysis made it possible to identify six dimensions: relationships, organizational culture, trust, cooperation, engagement, and involvement. |
