The used treatments were: T0 (control) - with chlorhexidine applied by spray and gauze, T1 - Chamomile 20%, T2 - Aloe Vera, and T3 - Chamomile + Aloe Vera-based preparation. Sample was made taking again to 15th and 21st post-application day of the treatment to determine the Bacterial CFU. The obtained results in the project were for T0 effectiveness in Enterobacter cloacae (91%). For T1, efficiency in Streptococcus beta hemolyticus (75%) and Pseudomonas spp (96%). For T2 in Streptococcus spp (82%), Bacillus spp (95%) Staphylococus aureus (96%), and Escherichia coli (72%). Finally, for T3, the efficacy was in Staphylococcus coagulase negative (86%) and Neisseria spp (75%). This project provides a gradual treatment for canine gingivitis, whose beneficiaries are domestic canines with gingivitis and their owners who can make this protocol a regular use. |

This project provides a gradual treatment for canine gingivitis, whose beneficiaries are domestic canines with gingivitis and their owners who can make this protocol a regular use.La presente investigación tuvo como finalidad determinar el efecto de la Manzanilla (Matricaria chamomilla) y Aloe Vera (Aloe barbadensis miller) como tratamiento para Gingivitis Periodontal tipo I en caninos, se trataron 72 caninos de 2 a 3 años de edad de diferente raza y sexo, estos fueron divididos al azar en 4 tratamientos con 18 perros para T0 T1, T2 y T3, previo al análisis positivo a bacterias de la cavidad bucal por medio de la recolección de muestras bacterianas con hisopados en la encía. El periodo experimental tuvo una duración de 21 días, pasando un día, una vez al día. Los tratamientos utilizados fueron: T0 (control) – con clorhexidina aplicando mediante atomizador y gasa, T1 – Manzanilla 20%, T2 – Aloe Vera y T3 – Preparado a base de Manzanilla + Aloe Vera. Se realizaron la toma de muestra nuevamente en el día 15 y el día 21 post aplicación de tratamientos para determinar las UFC bacterianas. Los resultados que se obtuvieron en el proyecto fueron para T0 con eficacia en Enterobacter cloacae (91%). Para T1 eficiencia en Streptococcus beta hemolítico (75%) y Pseudomonas spp (96%). Para T2 en Streptococus spp (82%), Bacillus spp (95%), Staphylococus aureus (96%) y Escherichia coli (72%). Finalmente, para T3 la eficacia en Stapylococcus cuagulasa negativa (86%) y Neiseeria spp (75%).
