الملخص:In the Educational Unit "Narciso Cerda Maldonado" of the canton La Maná, Institution of great importance in the academic formation of children and young people in their levels, basic upper and baccalaureate, there are some situations that impede the optimal development of educational processes in the use of technological tools, among them the lack of updated computer laboratories, It does not have technological equipment in specialized rooms for each study area, it lacks broadband internet available for the whole establishment, it situation has caused that the level of education to the students of the tenth year of General Basic Education is insignificant, specifically in the Language and Literature area. Through the present research it was demonstrated that the use of ICT in classrooms breaks traditional paradigms, so that they lead to improve the academic processes, thus, the teacher´s role moves from knowledge speaker to organizer and information advisor, while students go from being listeners, to participate and collaborate in the accomplishment of tasks, Acquiring the disciplinary knowledge through an intermediated learning by the ICT.
