Finally, SWOT matrix was applied, which proposed a combination of strategies, including road improvement to facilitate products exchange with main cities and facilitate national visitors access; Additionally, to promote tourism as an economic alternative and generating interest in tourism actors to maintain natural resources, which will contribute to the execution of recreational activities. as conclusion it can be noted tourism promotion and dissemination as the main problems that limit the creation of tourism products as an economic alternative, the authorities have neglected the attention to the development of tourism derived from budget prioritization , where tourism has not been exposed as an important source for canton development it is recommended that authorities could carry out projects or generate activities to help the promotion of the sector through an economic model with a tourist focus; In this way the economy subsequently improves life quality for population as a complementary way. By socialization of the present investigation to the authorities and interested people could develop tourism projects and plans can be constructed based on the reality of the canton and its benefit. |

By socialization of the present investigation to the authorities and interested people could develop tourism projects and plans can be constructed based on the reality of the canton and its benefit.La presente investigación expone la identificación de los posibles problemas turísticos que posee el cantón Pangua, que están relacionados con un limitado desarrollo turístico para lo cual se desarrolló un diagnóstico del sector mediante visitas de campo, aplicación de la matriz PEST-LA, donde los principales problemas ambientales que se determinó fue la presencia del botadero de basura ubicado a pocos kilómetros de la zona poblada, en el ámbito turístico se evidencia una deficiencia en la promoción y difusión turística, conjuntamente afecta el mal estado de las vías de acceso y comunicación interna del cantón y la migración de los pobladores de Pangua por lo que busca mejorar su calidad de vida que también son problemas socioculturales, en cuanto al componente legal se determinó que no existe control por parte de las autoridades competentes para la regularización de establecimientos que desarrollan actividades turísticas. Finalmente se aplicó la matriz FODA, que una vez realizado el análisis de los componentes de la matriz se plantearon combinaciones que dieron diferentes estrategias, que incluyen el mejoramiento de la carretera para facilitar el intercambio de productos con las grandes ciudades y facilitar el acceso al cantón de los visitantes nacionales; adicionalmente promover al turismo como una alternativa económica y generar interés en los actores turísticos por mantener en mejores condiciones los recursos naturales, que aportan de manera positiva a la ejecución de actividades recreacionales dentro del cantón. De lo anteriormente expuesto, se puede destacar que el principal problema es la falta de promoción y difusión turística, que limitan la creación de productos turísticos como una alternativa económica, las autoridades son las que han descuidado la atención al desarrollo del turismo derivado de la priorización presupuestaria, donde no se ha expuesto al turismo como una fuente importante para el desarrollo del cantón; se recomienda que las autoridades realicen proyectos o generen actividades que ayuden al fomento del sector y mediante un modelo económico con enfoque turístico; así se puede contribuir a solucionar de manera complementaria la economía del cantón y subsecuentemente la calidad de vida a los pobladores del cantón Pangua.
