Προσθήκη ετικέτας | Περίληψη: | The present work is focused on determining the abundance and diversity of birds in the Belvedere Quevedo Canton Latacunga Province of Cotopaxi; through direct observation, counts by points, linear transects resulting in a record of 8 Orders, 17 Families and 25 Species; Which are distributed in three zones according to the slope as reference point to Cerro Putzalahua. In Zone 1, there was a 35% abundance of species, in Zone 2 its abundance of birds is 40% and in Zone 3 we have a 25% abundance, predominating the Order Passeriformes; With the data of this study a field guide was elaborated that included information like the order, family, scientific name, common name in Spanish and English and a general description of each species. Through this bird field guide, the observer has in his hands an instructive for the identification of these species and will enjoy the possibility of traversing the trails that are identified for the sighting of birds. This guide will cost 25 color plates with high resolution images, facilitating the identification of the existing species in the place, this will encourage the inhabitants and tourists who will enjoy an interest in the activity of bird watching in the Parish. It also has other purposes such as raising awareness in the care of each of the species that make up this ecosystem, is of vital importance since in detailing what kind of varieties inhabit the Parish can be given a better management to the areas for this Can be respected and preserved, this bird guide pretends to be a contribution for the development of Aviturism of the Parish Belisario Quevedo where they can serve as direct and indirect support to generate more tourist influx to the place making this a privileged point for bird watching |
