“El esquema corporal y el desarrollo del auto concepto en los niños de Educación Inicial”

This research project aimed to analyze the body schema and the development of self-concept in children of Initial Education of the Pujilí canton, La Victoria parish, Cotopaxi province. The objective is focused on diagnosing the development of the relationship between the body schema and the self-concept in preschool children. The methodology used for the research was descriptive with a mixed approach (qualitative-quantitative), and for data collection, it was the technique of the survey carried out on teachers and an observation sheet for the children of the two schools under analysis; managing to determine that there are gaps in body development and, therefore, in the idea that children have of themselves. After investigating and knowing the different theories and perspectives of teachers, the need for an intervention at the level of this area is concluded by obtaining empirical results to formulate and apply a proposal of activities that represents a solution to the problems identified within the development body and self-concept of initial children.
