| Summary: | The objective of this technological proposal is to design a roller mill to grind quinoa, through a mathematical analysis and a finite element method, for the producers from the Sierra region, Cotopaxi province, Latacunga canton, analyzing the main variables in the process; using a selection based on the separation angle, where the Ø=0.425 mm, of the grain, sizing the crushing elements, defining the pulleys to be used, as well as the gears to be used that provide support for the transmission of movement between the rollers , with a power of ½ hp at 1750 rpm, where the belt to be used is type A, with existing materials in the national and local market. The roller mill is made up of input and output hoppers, an electric motor, crushing rollers, a support bushing, bearings, defined in a determined cycle, generating movement through the rollers, which are driven by belts. The machine supports the agricultural sector, allowing the product to be automatically crushed up to 1 quintal, for every 10 to 17 minutes, defining the design using CAD CAE tools, which is then validated through a finite element analysis to demonstrate the influence of machine variables. |
