The methodology is qualitative and quantitative, since qualitative data reflect current situation of the parks and the quantitative data provide numerical values. In order to carry out this research, the first objective was to identify the existing plant species through direct observation, classify identified species by their common name, scientific name and quantify each specie through an in situ visit, then to determine morphological characteristics of species with help of chromatic circle. From obtained data, a total of 20 plant species were identified in Vicente León Park with 615 plants, 7 colors, where green predominates with 30%; in San Francisco Park, 16 plant species were identified with 403 plants, 8 colors with green predominating with 32%; in La Filantropía Park, 23 plant species were identified with 401 plants, 8 colors with green dominating with 54%; and in La Laguna Park, 20 plant species were identified with 305 plants, 8 colors with green dominating with 47%. Reflecting that green predominates in four main city parks, this being considered a cold color produces calm, seriousness and solitude to human beings. The recovery proposals for each park are focused on recover their chromatic characteristics, improving life quality of citizens and making them more attractive to tourists. |

Tuvo como objetivo el análisis del manejo cromático de los parques. La metodología se enmarca de tipo cualitativa y cuantitativa ya que los datos cualitativos reflejan la situación actual de los parques y los datos cuantitativos proporcionan valores numéricos. Para el cumplimiento de esta investigación se planteó identificar las especies vegetales existentes, mediante observación directa, clasificar las especies identificadas por su nombre común, nombre científico y cuantificar cada una de las especies vegetales mediante visitas in situ, para luego determinar las características morfológicas de las especies con la ayuda del circulo cromático. De los datos obtenidos se identificó en el parque Vicente León un total de 20 especies vegetales con 615 plantas, 7 colores, donde predomina el color verde con 30%, en el parque san Francisco se identificaron 16 especies vegetales con 403 plantas, 8 colores predominando el color verde con 32%, en el parque la Filantropía se identificaron 23 especies vegetales con 401 plantas, 8 colores con dominio del color verde de 54% y en el parque la Laguna se identificaron 20 especies vegetales con 305 plantas, 8 colores donde el 47% de color verde domina. Reflejando que el verde predomina en los cuatro principales parques de la ciudad, este al ser considerado un color frío produce calma, seriedad y soledad a los seres humanos.
