Description
Summary:This research focused on a current problem from a Graphic Design angle. It was based on two parts: the first is technological information (mobile applications) and visual (images, iconography and photography) and the second is the Andean grains consumption. The objective is to design a mobile interface through a multimedia scheme, so the use of Andean grains in gastronomic recipes can be expressed in graphic and digital for the students benefit between fifteen and eighteen years old at Juan Abel Echeverría high school in Latacunga. This research is exploratory, quantitative (surveys) and qualitative (interviews), the research sample will be 78 people, 75% men and 25% women, the survey is applicable to 58 men and 17 women. It was based on the analysis of documentary information, books, journals, and scientific articles. We also used a methodology focused on the interfaces design for multimedia creation projects and therefore we selected the James Garret Methodology, which is characterized to design process organization by phases. This research has a social impact in the educational area to inform the benefits of the Andean grains consumption to a vulnerable public, it intended to reduce the junk products consumption. It also has a cultural impact because it promotes Ecuador's culinary heritage to gather photographs of different gastronomic dishes made with Andean grains. This research performs mobile electronic devices such as mobile phones. It was carried out considering and focusing on the user, so the usage tests showed that the mobile application interface is intuitive and easy to use. The research social impact was considered of the performance research in the high school for teenagers, the cultural impact of photographing the gastronomic recipes that are part of the culinary heritage of Ecuador, the technical impact as it is a reference and a scheme to carry out mobile applications, as well as the technological impact to show the useful tools usage for the layout and prototyping of mobile application interfaces.
