In addition, the variability in the two key seasons winter and summer is investigated: Wind speed and solar radiation emerge as crucial factors for this analysis of wind and solar potential. These data are subjected to deep scrutiny through the use of the Weibull distribution and the Normal distribution (Gaussian Bell). Utilizing computational tools like Minitab and Excel improves analysis capabilities and enables estimating the potential value that can be produced in the Salache sector. The understanding and analysis of wind speed and solar radiation, and its distribution over time, play an essential role. Therefore, this project studies the comprehensive evaluation of the energy potential of the area, supporting sustainable development and informed decision-making in the field of nonconventional renewable energy. The results obtained will provide valuable perspectives for future projects, mainly for the design and implementation of photovoltaic systems, since the wind potential does not justify its large-scale investment due to the low wind speeds that the Salache sector area presents. |

Este análisis se basa en los datos recopilados por una estación meteorológica ubicada en la zona, abordando tanto el comportamiento climático semanal como el mensual. Además, se investiga la variabilidad en las dos estaciones claves del Ecuador: invierno y verano. La velocidad del viento y la radiación solar emergen como factores cruciales para este análisis de potencial eólico y solar. Estos datos, se someten a un profundo escrutinio mediante el empleo de la distribución de Weibull y la distribución Normal (Campana Gaussiana). La utilización de herramientas computacionales como Minitab y Excel potencia la capacidad de análisis y permite calcular el potencial útil que puede ser generado en el sector Salache. La comprensión minuciosa y el análisis profundo de la velocidad del viento y la radiación solar, en particular su distribución a lo largo del tiempo, desempeñan un papel esencial. Por ende, este proyecto se adentra en la evaluación comprehensiva del potencial energético de la zona, respaldando el desarrollo sostenible y la toma de decisiones informadas en el campo de las energías renovables no convencionales.
