Crynodeb:The teaching-learning process, from its beginnings, presents disadvantages related to the social, economic, cultural, psychological, and physical, currently new educational needs associated with the application of physical activity as a means to improve learning skills arise. The objective of this research is to generate physical activity in the teaching-learning process of fifth-year students of the "Guaranda" Basic Education School, in the 2022-2023 academic year, to improve the development of cognitive skills. The methodology was based on the qualitative approach because it allowed an understanding of the reality of the educational context, likewise, this research was developed based on an organized and systematic process with the help of the stages of qualitative research, also the inductive method was applied because we start from the physical activity in the teaching-learning process. The observation technique with its observation guide instrument was used on 18 students and the teacher. The results achieved were reflections on physical activity in the teaching-learning process. This project contributes relevant information to generate awareness of why physical activity is essential in the teaching-learning process to strengthen student’s educational, social, and physical aspects.
