Description
Summary:Nowadays, technological advances allow a more in-depth study, that is why this research project is focused on the analysis of traveling waves in distribution lines, which was carried out in feeder 2/14 (Multitud-Cumandá), belonging to Empresa Eléctrica Riobamba, which is located in Cumandá canton in Chimborazo province; this affluent has the particularity of being composed of three different sections with different conductor calibers, which is why a study must necessarily be performed in each section to determine the analysis of the traveling waves formed at each study point. For this study it was necessary the installation of meters that were installed in the feeder that allowed to know the currents and voltages in the different points of all the feeder that have served for the development of our analysis, the same that were uploaded to the Geographic Information System (GIS) which allowed the storage and updating of data from the different equipment that make up the electrical distribution system of the Feeder. Finally, it could be evidenced that by means of the simulation in the CYMDIST program, the power flow of the feeder was run, which resulted in the change of impedances of positive sequence and homopolar sequence, which will be used to enter data in the ATPDraw software and to visualize the behavior of the sections in order to comply with what was previously proposed.
