| Crynodeb: | The present investigative work is focused on determining how Document Management affects administrative processes in the Pujilí Canton Fire Department, for which a diagnosis of the current situation was made on how Document Management is applied in the different work areas. and based on the analysis developed, propose an improvement plan that benefits the work performance of officials, taking alternatives that allow improving Document Management, administrative processes and good communication for the user. In the institution, the quantitative methodology was applied, descriptive level, as a technique the survey validated by expert judgment was used and as an instrument the questionnaire that was elaborated by means of the Likert scale with 17 items. The population and sample is all the personnel that works in the institution that corresponds to 35 people. In addition, in the results it was found that 74% have problems in the organization of information, 97% consider that the proper management of documents will improve administrative processes and 100% of those surveyed consider that Document Management benefits the client, this leads to the existence of adequate decision-making in the institution; these results allowed the elaboration of the improvement plan for the institution of the Pujilí Canton Fire Department. Additionally, the direct beneficiaries will be the employees and the indirect beneficiaries will be the users who come to the entity to carry out different procedures. Finally, an adequate Document Management in a company is recognized for its effectiveness and efficiency in providing solutions to the different procedures that are carried out on a daily basis, the execution of the improvement plan will allow the physical and digital information to be organized, save time in archiving processes, improve access to information, preserve documents with greater control and security. |
