Summary:This project arises from the need to analyze the interaction and reaction of the audience on the Facebook fan page of the newspaper El Comercio, in the new digital era of communication. Thus, the objective of the research was to determine how the audience interacts in the social network of this communication medium. The publications have generated an immediate interaction and reaction in the young and young adult reader. Among the topics that are shown to the audience, from the digital point of view, are those of: social interest, political, editorial, opinion, sports, environment, postcards, comic, investigative, entertainment, advertisements, economy, covers, traffic accidents, violent deaths and publicity. All the publications with these themes have had some kind of reaction with emojis that refer to: I like it, I love it, it amuses me, it amazes me, it saddens me and it makes me angry. Also, the number of comments and shares generated by the audience of the newspaper on the social network Facebook was recorded. The methodology was qualitative in nature, through netnography, with which the analysis and study of publications and audience interactions was carried out, in October 2019.
