總結:This paper details a comprehensive analysis of the economic feasibility of installing solar PV systems with and without storage in the areas of Latacunga and Ambato in Ecuador. A photovoltaic module that emulates the behaviour of the On-Grid system is used, and parameters such as voltage, power, current, power factor and energy consumption are monitored in real time. For monitoring, Python and MySQL are used for data storage, connected to Grafana to visualise the information. Various scenarios are evaluated considering the peak capacity of the solar panels and gel battery storage, together with a financial analysis. The results show that in Latacunga, the On-Grid system is not profitable under any circumstances, with Net Present Values (NPV) of -2503.4, -2333.09559 and - 2830.67688, and Internal Rates of Return (IRR) of -4%, -2% and -2%. On the other hand, in Ambato, a system without storage could be viable with a higher peak capacity, recovering the investment in 25 years, with NPVs of -1115.3, -424.7 and 264.7, and IRRS of 3%, 6% and 8%. Similarly the profitability is clear in Ambato with storage, but in Latacunga it is not profitable to use batteries, the investment is not recovered. The study highlights the relevance of considering climatic and geographical conditions when evaluating solar energy projects. It also emphasises the need to explore and adopt more efficient and durable storage technologies to improve long-term profitability.
