Summary:The research about the participation of the parent and its influence in the process of comprehensive education of the students grade sixth of Basic Education of the Educational Unit "Dr. Néstor Mogollón López" of the province of Cotopaxi, La Maná, Parish Matrix, El Moral campus, during the school year 2016 - 2017. Its purpose is: To determine the field of action of the parents in the educational context; And to identify the development of students in the learning process, reflect on the commitment made by each of the representatives to participate actively in the educational process. This process allowed that teachers improve in the responsibility in each one of their tasks; using a socio-critical methodology that allows the transformation of the forecest of traditional education into a constructivist today, it is a great challenge in the educational field to engage the parents in daily activities, which allowed to get the change. Towards a new vision of sharing tasks in a reflexive active field of action, managing to determine the scope of specific knowledge, an informative communication, group dynamization and an ethical-group commitment. The use of sessions as a school for parents encourages the direct participation of the parent. Sessions proposed in this work to achieve an evolution that provides the representatives of the education of children to use the best instruments to face the challenges that constitute the point departed and achieve a change of attitude framed in a total break of walls and achieve. The interrelation between those who are involved in the learning process.
