| Shrnutí: | The research project was carried out in Barrio Anchiliví, Salcedo canton with the objective of agronomically and morphologically characterizing 31 accessions of Phaseolus spp. collected in different parts of the country. Plots of five blocks were implemented, each 1.5 m wide by 16 furrows at 0.80 m between furrows, distance between plants at 0.30 m and 1 seed was deposited per stroke; each row has a different accession and they are separated by a row of corn to avoid crossbreeding. The number of seeds of each of the accessions depended on the availability of the seed bank of the Technical University of Cotopaxi and varied from 1 to 9 seeds. Fifteen morphological descriptors and 8 agronomic descriptors proposed by (IBPGR, 1982) and (Valenzuela, 2017) were evaluated. The information was recorded from 31 accessions, from the variables evaluated and statistically tabulated, four bean species can be determined which were P. vulgaris with 14 accessions which were identified as accessions 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13 and 30, P. lunatus with 8 accessions which were identified as accessions 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20 and 21, P. coccineus with 8 accessions which were shown as accessions 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, 27, 28 and 29, and finally P. dumosus species, with only one accession which was identified as accessions 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20 and 21. dumosus, with only one accession identified as accession 31, of the species mentioned the variables pigmentation of the hypocotyl which 71% (22 accessions) are presence and 29% (9 accessions) are absence and cotyledon color were taken from 15 to 21 days after emergence, being phenological stage V1, in phenological stage V3 the leaf texture, terminal leaflet length and intensity of green color in the foliage were determined in all species of Phaseolus spp. in phenological stage V4 the vegetative growth habit was determined, 11 (35%) bushy accessions and 20 (65%) climbing accessions were obtained, since the research reaches the phenological stage of development, the most relevant height in the bushes was 24 cm in accession 11, the most relevant height in the climbing accessions was 94 cm in accession 29; the diameter in the climbing accessions was 10 mm at 63 days and in the shrub accessions the diameter was 8 mm and finally only three accessions managed to reach the flowering phenological stage, belonging to the species P. lunatus and P. coccineus. |
