Streszczenie:This research focused on setting up different “Methodological strategies to improve reading habits in the students of fourth year of Basic education, educational unit “Alicia Marcuard de Yerovi of Salcedo city” it was always directed in a research field with a descriptive character since our intention was to describe the different methodological strategies that are used in the classroom to improve reading habits. The obtained data were provided by a population formed by 14 teachers, 32 students and 31 parents who participated for conducting research. To obtain the information we used the application of the technique of observation, the survey and the interview, once we got the results, we made the tabulation and analysis we were found that the institution under study has limitations, since little knowledge about strategies to encourage the habit of reading. We made several workshops with the aim of providing the methodological strategies that teachers can apply in that way students will be interested for reading with their parent’s help.
