Yhteenveto: | The present project was carried out at "El Tejar neighborhood" of Saquisilí Canton Cotopaxi Province, to carry out the research 12 Creole sheep were used (males), the parameters that were considered for their selection were age and weights, These animals presented characteristics of breed such as: full face hairs of various colors, small ears and covered by hair, horns, pigmented hooves and thick skin, the sheep were placed at random in 4 treatments with 3 repetitions. The treatments for this experiment were T1, 100% of alfalfa, T2, 50% of alfalfa + 50% of chicory, T3, 100% of chicory, T4, 100% of kikuyo, at the arrival of the animals a plan of Good management practices, registering the weights and applying a sanitary calendar that started with an internal and external deworming, after which the sheep were given vitamins. The initial weights for the T1 treatment were (9.33) kg, T2 (9 kg), T3 (9 kg), T4, (6.16 kg), and at the end of this trial they reached weights ranging from 11.27. Kg (T4) and 12.72 (T1) without significant statistical differences between treatments. The gained weight of these animals shows that treatment based on (alfalfa) reported the highest numerical data of (0.56 kg) for this parameter without significant statistical differences among treatments, presenting similar behavior in the rest of the variables under study. The results Benefit cost of the present research allow to demonstrate that T1 (alfalfa) got the best yields of gain of 0.04 cents for each invested dollar comparing with the three remaining treatments, and with a gain of (0.56 Kg) during the investigation. |
