Izvleček:The research project focused on proposing a manual to improve the quality assurance processes established by CEAACES at the Technical University of Cotopaxi, with the purpose of strengthening the shortcomings found in the categorization process to which the university submitted itself. voluntarily, for the development a qualitative-quantitative methodology was applied, for which it was necessary to collect and analyze the research data. In order to determine the final results of the research, the IMB SPSS program was used, in which a database was created with the results of the surveys. In addition, the Chi-square was applied to verify the hypothesis, as a final result it was obtained that the evaluation processes, accreditation and categorization influence the quality of the University, to be developed in the institution, since within the same processes are empirical, and do not meet the quality indicators issued and ruled by CEAACES, it was necessary the standardization of quality processes through a manual, in order to determine and structure the main accreditation and categorization processes that will be developed in the future in each of the University's dependencies. Finally, a manual containing the induction, self-evaluation and follow-up processes was prepared. The induction process was based on the diagnosis of the topics related to internal evaluation, modules were defined, lectures were planned, questionnaires were applied and finalized with the memory of the event; For the self-assessment process, the planning, execution and reporting of the results of the self-evaluation area were taken into account and finally, within the follow-up process, the most relevant qualitative and quantitative indicators of the institution were detailed, an improvement plan was structured, the same that I close with the report of the fulfillment of plan said.
