Izvleček:An industry must have a continuous supply of energy, so it is necessary to have a correct selectivity between the protection devices, operating the protections only in the area involved during an electrical failure, thus protecting the equipment, avoiding economic losses and safeguarding the physical integrity of the operators. In this research project a case study of an industrial electrical network was designed, taking into account the design criteria established by the IEEE Std. 141-1993 standard, which allowed determining the external power supply networks, loads, motors, transformers and cables with which it was possible to establish a study of load and short circuit flows of the facilities through the use of ETAP software. In the study analysis, four operation scenarios were presented, where the most critical case was chosen to perform the sizing of the protection devices and then to analyze the protection performance times in each of the scenarios.
