Summary:The present work shows the design of an electric transformer through mathematics models which was used to model the main characteristics of the machine, the showed results are similar to a real transformer. It is possible to simulate many own elements of the electric machine, such is the case that it’s possible to simulate the saturation of transformer, where the saturation was taken to do through the variation of mutual reactance of the transformer. The present model can be edited adding news sub-systems as in the case of the simulation of inrush current, where it’s possible to add a sub-system which name is the same that was already mentioned and where it gets graphics that shows the phenomenon mentioned previously. The present model can be used as a three-phase transformer through of single-phase transformers and it’s possible to simulate it adding the known three-phase connections. It can get the special connections of the transformers too, such is the case of the autotransformers, and where only inserting simple mathematical blocks it’s possible to get the characteristic data of this type of machine. All of the above is summarized in obtaining graphics and data that resemble those of a real transformer, thus avoiding the high costs in relation to obtaining a real transformer.
