For this purpose, the aging information was collected in order to know its current state and later proceed to elaborate an analysis of the current curve with which Cedal works when submitting the aluminum profiles to heat treatment to obtain hardness. . After knowing the current state of aging, the NTE INEN 2250 standard was analyzed, which details the parameters that the company must comply with when manufacturing the billets, both for their chemical composition and for their hardness. |

After knowing the current state of aging, the NTE INEN 2250 standard was analyzed, which details the parameters that the company must comply with when manufacturing the billets, both for their chemical composition and for their hardness.El presente trabajo de tesis se enfoca en la optimización del proceso de envejecimiento en los perfiles de aluminio producidos por la empresa Corporación Ecuatoriana de Aluminio S.A Cedal, el cual tiene como objetivo reducir la cantidad de desperdicios de material extruido en forma de perfiles de aluminio, estos últimos al no contar con la dureza que se requiere, siendo ésta última 7 grados en la escala de Webster como parámetro mínimo y como máximo 10 grados en la escala de Webster. Cedal al realizar billets de la serie 6000 de aluminio, específicamente con la aleación 6063 de tipo arquitectónico, requieren la utilización de elementos químicos como son el Silicio, Magnesio y Aluminio. Para ello se realizó el levantamiento de información del envejecimiento con la finalidad de conocer su estado actual y posteriormente proceder a elaborar un análisis de la curva actual con la cual trabaja Cedal al momento de someter los perfiles de aluminio al tratamiento térmico para la obtención de dureza.
