סיכום:The present investigation was carried out at the Technical University of Cotopaxi, Campus Salache, the objective is to characterize the soil through the technique of chromatography on paper, for the fulfillment of the objective it was supported by three levels of vegetation (Low), (Medium) and ( High). It was investigated through the methodology established by Rivera, 2011 where thirty-nine soil samples were collected, three per terrace in a zig zag shape and classified by level of vegetation, to verify the validity of the chromatographic result on paper, samples of soil by level of vegetation and were analyzed at the National Institute for Agricultural Research (INIAP), with the established results of (INIAP) and paper chromatographies presented, it can be analyzed that the soil with a low level of vegetation, there is presence of destroyed soils, an abundance of organic fertilizers not decomposed and very feasible in organic nitrogen; medium level in vegetation, there is a destroyed soil without organic matter, presence of isolated minerals and absence of biological and enzymatic activity that beneficial microorganisms for our crops disappear; high level of vegetation, a good presence can be observed in relation to organic matter and a low percentage of fertilizers, on the terraces with good plant cover use of non-decomposed organic fertilizers is observed, isolated minerals unrelated to the little organic matter that disappears Enzymatic activity, shows, handling without machinery, with poor structure, shows mummification of organic matter, soil amendments are not being used correctly, a temporary production system, with beginnings of degradation, saturation and mummification of organic matter.
