Análisis de la calidad de absorción visual de las unidades del paisaje del páramo Wingopana, propuesta de conservación, 2023.

The current research was developed according to the landscape valuation, with the aim by analyzing the conditions quality and visual fragility from Wingopana moorland, located in the Canchagua Parish belonging to the Saquisilí Canton. Through the methodologies use focused on determining and evaluating the landscape units, which are: the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) method, the Visual Absorption Capacity (CAV) method, consequently the sensitivity and visual fragility. By means going out to the study field, it was taken and selected area 7 representative photographs, immediately, was given a qualitative assessment, through a visual characterization taking into account the (texture, color, relief, erodibility, slope, vegetation, scenic context, line, spatial configuration). Subsequently, with the selected images, were carried out a quantitative assessment, according to the BLM method, it yielded a 18.28 points average, this wants, that it belongs to CLASS B, for this reason, it is classified in a MEDIUM quality landscape, which cover areas, what have variety in the shape, color, line and texture, but which are common in the studied region and not exceptional. Through applying the CAV method, it was got a 23.14 weighting, which belongs to Class II, with Medium Fragility and moderate range, so its areas have medium potential regeneration capacity. According to the the photographs sensitivity, it was got, what the class, which stands out the most is 4, because they are low quality and medium-high CAV areas, whose conservation results a priority. To determine the landscape fragility, it proceded to give a general punctuation, giving a 27.4 average, which places the moorland in Class I, that is, the landscape has HIGH fragility. As a preventive measure, it is required the handle activities inclusion, what ensure the natural landscape protection, in order to conserve, regenerate and keep the study area in good environmental conditions, wich are favorable for locals and strangers, thus allowing to preserve the natural resources for future generations.
