Gaia:This research project is based on the needs presented by the peasants of the Lamanense association ASCALA, which are small producers of agricultural products such as cocoa, who use traditional and manual methods such as sharp and cutting tools, for the processing of products. Especially the cocoa pod, presenting risks to their safety and health, in addition to being unproductive and low in competitiveness in the cocoa industry. As a solution, the implementation of an automated mechanical system for the pulping of cocoa pods is proposed, the design of which is based on the current situation and the purchasing power and production demand of the association in our case study.
