Within this research work, a 4 x 3 +1 factorial arrangement was used, implemented in a completely randomized block design with three replications, for which the plant extracts higuerilla, chamico, ruda and Santamaria were elaborated, then the flies were placed in glass boxes, after which the application of the extracts was carried out in three doses for each treatment which are T1 5ml, T2 10 ml, T3 15ml and a Control. Afterwards, the dead flies Bactericera cockerelli were counted and data was collected 2 hours after application. Once this process was completed, the data were entered into the statistical program Infostat which yielded the corresponding results, which were that T1 higuerilla is highly significant, while the other extracts did not give better significance, the treatment T1 higuerilla with a dose of 15 ml killed 38 flies out of 50 with an average of 0.76% efficacy, that is to say that. The extract of (higuerilla at a dose of 15 ml), showed higher mortality in adults of B. cockerelli. Therefore, it is recommended to use higuerilla extract at a dose of 15 ml to control the incidence of Bactericera cockerelli. |

La presente investigación se realizó en el laboratorio de entomología de la universidad técnica de Cotopaxi campus Salache, con el objetivo de Evaluar el efecto de extractos vegetales para el control de paratrioza (Bactericera cockerelli) en condiciones controladas, cuyo propósito fue establecer cuál de los extractos en estudio demostró mejor control de la plaga y que a su vez asegure ser amigable con el medio ambiente. Dentro de este trabajo investigativo se utilizó un arreglo factorial 4 x 3 +1 implementado en un diseño de bloques completamente al azar con tres repeticiones, para lo cual se elaboró los extractos vegetales higuerilla, chamico, ruda y santamaria, se colocó B. cockerelli en las cajas de vidrio, luego de esto se llevó a cabo la aplicación de los extractos en tres dosis para cada tratamiento las cuales son T1 5ml, T2 10 ml, T3 15ml y un Testigo, se realizó el conteo de moscas muertas Bactericera cockerelli, para aquello se recolecto datos después de 2 horas post aplicación. Una vez terminado este proceso se procede a introducir los datos en el programa estadístico Infostat, se obtuvo los resultados correspondientes, los cuales fueron que T1 higuerilla a una dosis de 15 ml murieron 38 moscas de 50 con un porcentaje de 0,76 % de significancia en temperatura ambiente, es decir que. El extracto de (higuerilla a dosis 15 ml), mostro tener mayor mortalidad en adultos de B. cockerelli, mientras que los otros extractos no dieron mejor significancia.
