| Yhteenveto: | The project allows translating the study of designing, simulation, and construction of a knee mechanism for a transfemoral prosthesis which in the country has elevated costs, with other parts that belong a prosthesis are bought a reasonable cost by Hermano Miguel Foundation to Range Of Motion Program (ROMP) whose objective is giving low resources people better prosthesis they had trough denominated "brigades", the implementation of the project displays the possibility to manufacture the mentioned mechanism with local origin materials and with lower costs. Design and simulation made by software allow having a clear idea of the feasibility of both materials and unload charges mechanism, for manufacturing it is used a five-axis cnc. Thus, patients who have a transfemoral amputation and activity level between K1 and K2 could acquire a prosthesis with a handy price. A knee that exists in the stock market is used as a reference for designing, measures were taken and it drew a four-bar linkages mechanism that simulates the anatomic movement of a real knee, database between calculus and position angles given by the software was compared, after normative simulation and save factor results the design was sent to manufacture. Having the mechanism measures of the prosthesis socket were taken and when it was plasticized knee was lined up to avoid an unsafe position. For the experimental appliance, at the placing moment of the prosthesis to the patient were made a different kind of calibrations to improve ergonomics and finally walks checking the correct function, comparing the previous monocentric knee prosthesis, the patient affirms that the effort he does at the hips is lower and the speed asked for the contralateral leg is satisfactorily compensated. |
