Elaboración de una Guía de Aves en el Recinto Andoas, Parroquia Ramón Campaña, Cantón Pangua, Provincia Cotopaxi.

This research project was aimed at registering a number of bird species in Andoas through the application of techniques and instruments, which allowed to elaborate of a bird guide as essential basis for future studies. For the execution of general objective were raised, specific objectives so as to have the general objective achieved. A Situational diagnosis of the area of study was carried out to determine the actual condition of it. To make it possible, important data was gotten through field and bibliographical research and interviews conducted to people from the community. In the same way, a bird inventory was through register forms and the application of methods and techniques, which made a great contribution to the determination of the bird variety in the area of study. For register of birds there was a reference mainly taken from vegetation through a pointing and counting technique based on sectorial lining and temporary observation which in turn resulted in the register of 26 species. Such species were taken into account for the making of the bird guide named before. The bird guide having a register of 26 species is part of the results achieved in this research. Each species contains virtually a taxonomical classification, which consists of (order, family, genre, and kind) every bird record can be found aligned from order to family. Moreover, it has got information according to local, common, scientific, and English name, description and distribution. It is also followed by pictures showing features of each species to better recognition and identification of field birds. This guide will work as a tool for tourists, tourism students, ecologists and ornithologists who are devoted to the observation of birds. It is also substantial in a way that the tourist can learn about the species that can be discovered as they go bird-watching. This study has got a social and environmental value for those who benefit directly and indirectly. Such research will contribute to self-awareness and the knowledge being part of this could be used in the fight for preservation of species.
