Description
Summary:The purpose of this project is to evaluate the environmental impact of the emerging cell and make a proposal for the optimum operation in the Mancomunidad Integral Management of Solid Waste, of the Pujilí-Saquisilí Cantons. In the first chapter the theoretical framework is presented, in which basic concepts for the development of the application are specified. In the second chapter, we present the application of several methods such as descriptive method to detail the different activities, phases, for the environmental diagnosis of the cell, the Cause-effect Matrix for the identification of potential impacts, the Matrix of Leopold for the assessment of the identified impacts; supported by the use of several techniques such as direct observation and field visit, the aspects analyzed were: character, extent, duration, reversibility, magnitude, importance, value and significance of the impacts. The third chapter presents the analysis and interpretation of results in the physical, biotic and socioeconomic environment of the project area, for the final disposal of solid waste were three: the construction phase, Operation Phase and Maintenance finally the closing phase. It was possible to determine the interrelation of each one of the activities with each environmental component under consideration, for the present there are 176 interactions of which only 96 that imply impacts are interrelated; 36 are positive and 60 negative. Finally, the preparation of an Environmental Management Plan for the control and mitigation of potential negative environmental impacts is proposed, which includes preventive and corrective measures, with established deadlines and execution responsibilities.
