| Shrnutí: | Potato cultivation requires continuous fertilization and use of agrochemicals, deteriorating the environment and increasing production costs. An alternative to this problem is the use of native microorganisms, capable of providing the necessary nutrients and decreasing the use of agrochemicals. This research work was carried out in the Parish of Belisario Quevedo, of the canton of Latacunga. It aimed to determine the total microbiota and detect the presence of functional groups such as actinomycetes, nitrogen-fixing bacteria and fungi associated with the rhizosphere of potato culture, by laboratory surveying in soil, in root maceration and root fragments in two repetitions, where UFC*gr-1 and conidia*gr-1 were determined, for which specific culture media are used for each group , and observations were made through dissolutions of 10-7 and 10-8. And the number of microorganisms present in repetitions and planting methods was compared. From the data obtained it was determined that although the soil is poor in M.O. it has a large amount of microbiota, this includes that there are beneficial elements whose potential can help in the growth of the crop. Bacteria were identified by determining morphological and physiological characteristics. In the first case, edge, elevation, consistency and color characteristics of individual bacteria cultured in the media were observed. Morphological characteristics were checked through observation under the optical microscope. In conclusion, the soils of the Illuchi Neighborhood have microorganisms with potential plant growth promoting capacity, which could be used through a biological control program reducing the use of fungicides |
