Adicionar Tag | Resumo: | The present research work was carried out in the Quinticusig Parish, Sigchos Canton and in the Zumbahua Parish, Pujilí Canton, Cotopaxi Province, where the quality of wool in Creole sheep was evaluated, using the S-FIBER EC V3.1 through the method of light diffraction, specifically developed to measure the average fiber diameter (AFD) and using manual techniques, it is performed the measurement of staple length, resistance and wool crimp, samples were taken from 164 sheep before and after being inoculated with parasitic vaccine against Strongyloides, Haemonchus contortus and Cooperia curticei parasites, wool samples were analyzed and compared by applying the parametric statistical method (Wilcoxon paired test). In which the significance between the group after the vaccine in relation to the group before the vaccine was measured by means of a right tailed study, obtaining the following p-values of the following characteristics of the wool fiber obtaining the following results for (Strongyloides) the AFD p-value= 0.02125; staple length p-value =1.858e-05; wool crimp p-value=0.0000270; density p-value=0.001725; resistance p-value=0. 0007117; Point of breaking (POB) p-value=0.01806; (Haemonchus contortus); AFD p-value=0.00128; staple length p-value=0.000000756; wool crimp p-value=0. 00000408; density p-value=0.01041; strength p-value=0.04658; POB p-value=0.9464; (Cooperia curticei) the AFD p-value = 1.381e-06; staple length p-value=0. 000000539; wool crimp p-value= 0.00000107; density p-value=0.007277, strength p-value=0.003145; (POB) p-value=0.3556. All statistical data analyzed for wool quality gave positive results after pre and post inoculation with parasitic vaccine which is of great production for sheep producers. |
