Summary:The present research is based on the frequency with which the teacher uses the didactic resources in the language area to help the teaching-learning process, it is oriented to the problem that students currently have, a low academic performance, due, to the limited use of didactic resources in the teaching-learning process of language and literature in the fourth year of basic general education, harming student learning. Hence, the objective of the research is to analyze the incidence of didactic resources in the teaching-learning process in the area of language and literature. Therefore, the research intends to know the importance of didactic resources, which help the learning process in the educational environment. On the other hand, the theoretical foundations will help to understand the subject, from a diagnostic perspective. Therefore, the methodology is based on the positivist paradigm with the quantitative approach, bibliographic and field research were applied, with the deductive method, the survey technique was used with its respective instrument, the questionnaire. In this way, the results of the investigation showed that the frequent use of didactic resources is necessary to strengthen the students’ learning. For this reason, the didactic resources help to improve the teaching-learning process, where the student feels motivated to interact in the classes with innovative didactic resources, thus improving the student's cognition, guaranteeing a more dynamic learning in the classroom.
