| Riassunto: | The research project was developed at Ignacio Flores sector, Latacunga canton, in order to know the environmental pollution generated by the diesel vehicles, where the emissions of opacity are emitted by the exhaust pipe determining, one of the main causes of effects human health and environment. At the beginning of the project was identified the area of study making a visit to determine the place of greatest vehicular traffic specifically in La Laguna. The research aims to environmental problems as a result of vehicular pollution in urban areas, therefore, the monitoring of 124 vehicles using the measurement procedure according to the legal regulations NTE INEN 2202:2000 with the free acceleration test. The information obtained was through the use of AVL DITEST equipment gas 1000 adding the opacimeter 480 DISMOKE BT which measures the opacity in percentage (%), which helped to control the diesel vehicles. With obtained data on the basis of the monitoring of exhaust gases, which are tabulated and compared with the maximum permissible limits according to the NTE INEN 2207: 2002, generating the database. The results obtained show that the vehicles according to their year of manufacture were classified, mentioning that in the year 1964 to 1999, 8 of them do not fulfill and 3 vehicles do according to the established parameters; from 2000 to 2017, 42 of them do not fulfill and 71 vehicles fulfill with according to the rules, knowing that the maximum requirements for mobile sources of diesel are: the year 2000 is 50% and in 1999 and later is 60% of opacity. With the obtained information was made proposals for mitigation and control for the maintenance of the vehicles in the vehicular review periods, improving the quality of the air of the town and therefore of the city. |
