Description
Summary:Currently, experiments related to the quality of liquid solutions are carried out in specialized chemical laboratories to ensure the fulfillment of quality standards. Performing analysis of liquid solutions in chemical laboratories is considered a reliable practice. In this context, the lack of an automated measurement station that can monitor variables such as pH, temperature, and turbidity during experimental activities in the Faculty of Engineering and Applied Sciences chemistry laboratory was identified as a problem that limits students' understanding and learning. The present technological proposal was developed to measure the physical-chemical variables of liquid solutions by incorporating pH, temperature, and turbidity sensors, with the programming of a diagram block for the visualization and automatic register of data from the different measurements. The system consists of three sensors to measure these parameters of liquid solutions. The station has been located within the chemistry laboratory to facilitate versatile use during experimental practices. The calibration held on the different sensors showed an average error of 1.45% for the pH sensor, 0.83% for the temperature sensor, and 2.19% for the turbidity sensor.
