Gaia:The main objective of this research work was to analyze the commercialization of balsa wood by the company Terratécnica S.A. in the canton of Valencia - Los Ríos province, 2023, for which field, analytical and descriptive research was carried out, which allowed us to descriptive research was carried out to analyze the information gathered through surveys and interviews. The study population consisted of 73 customers, employees in charge of administrative areas, production processes, production processes administrative areas, and production processes partners, to get to know more broadly the commercialization processes in the company. A bibliographic and field research was carried out, using qualitative and quantitative methods, as well as descriptive research to collect detailed information on the deficiencies in the marketing mechanisms, where problems were detected as returns of balsa blocks for reasons such as broken slats, humidity, among others, highlighting the importance of improving the quality of the product. Through the results obtained, the analysis determined that the company does not have well-defined marketing mechanisms, and lacks personnel training, they manage their marketing processes through the experience and needs of the clients, which has an impact on the development, competitive growth, and possibility of entering new international markets.
