סיכום:The current research project has as aim to determine the particulate matter concentration of PM 2.5 and PM 10, trough air monitoring, with the E-BAM equipment use in the Pujilí Educational Unit, the Central Market, the Municipal GAD from Pujilí and the Major Coliseum, all these sites are within the La Matriz sector from Pujilí parish, Pujilí canto. It was made air monitoring based on the current regulations, which indicate, what such monitoring must be 24 hours minimum in a row to get particulate material concentration values. Taking into account the study aims, they were carried out the 4 established points characterization, the monitoring was 24 hours in a row for both PM 2.5 and PM 10, with a total of monitoring 192 hours, the results, they were subsequently compared with the current regulations. From the got data, it can conclude, what none of the particulate matter concentration values of PM 2.5 and PM 10 exceed the maximum permissible limits, of 65.0 µg. /m3 and 150 µg. /m3, for PM 2,5 and PM 10, respectively stipulated in the current legal regulations from Ecuador, Book VI, Annex 4, Air Quality Standard , however, the Pujilí Educational Unit registers values of 42 µg. /m3 of PM 2,5 and 115 µg. /m3 of PM 10 , while the Central Market Construction presents 56 µg. /m3 of PM 2,5 and 98 µg. /m3 of PM 10, these being the highest concentration values recorded approaching the stipulated limits. The pollution existing sources at these points are the high flow of vehicle fleet, construction work and the existing trade activity in the area. Taking into account the existing concentration and the sources of particulate material generation, it was established a mitigation proposal for said concentrations, along with the recommendation to keep constant monitoring within the city, this, in order to comply with current legal regulations and precautionary measures, the population health and well-being.
