Izvleček:This project has the purpose of developing an informatics tool where the regulations that make references to the sizing of one substation's yard equipment, also called primary elements, are united. Power transformer, voltage transformer, current transformer, power switch, disconnector, and surge arresters. For that, the following studies are previously required: isolation coordination, short-circuit analysis, and power flow analysis. By the tool GUI (graphical user interface) of Matlab software, an interface has been designed that allows entering the obtained data from the studies previously aforementioned: substation’ potential, voltage levels, site height, and inclusive the environmental parameters of the geographical zone where the substation will be installed. Finally, the obtained results are validated taking as reference two base cases, the first one is the substation NIF 115/13.8 kV, located in Venezuela, El Furrial sector, with a power of 50 MVA. While, for the second case, was taken as a reference to the technical characteristics of the extension project, with a capacity of a transformation of 138/22,9/13,8 kV to the substation CHIMBOTE 1, which has a power of 250 MVA, located in Perú, in the Chimbote city.
