सारांश: | The research work evaluated ginger flour (Zingiber offcinale) as a growth promoter in broiler diets in Machachi Parish, Mejia Canton, Pichincha Province, With the trial we loked to give an alternative to the use of antibiotics as growth promoters that currently it is used for raising broiler chickens. Therefore, with the use of ginger flour (Zingiber officinale) people can reduce the incidence of diseases, reduce production costs and obtain products of animal origin harmless for human consumption. This research began with the elaboration of ginger flour (Zingiber offcinale) by using traditional methods. The test was conducted at the age of 100 one day old of Cobb line broilers with an average weight of 43.8 g upon arrival. The chickens’ shed was divided into 5 groups with 5 repetitions for each treatment. Ginger flour (Zingiber officinale) was added in doses of 1 % (T1), 2 % (T2), 3 % (T3), 4 % (T4) and 0 % (T0). A completely randomized design (DCA) was carried out, due to the homogeneity of the lot (CV). The statistics applied to evaluate the data was the analysis of variance by using the 5 % Tukey test in oder to compare the treatments. The results showed significant statistical differences (P <0.01) and (P <0.05) among the treatments being the best T4 (4 % inclusion of ginger flour) which achieved the best results both in weight gain with (1999 g); food conversion (1.74); food consumption (3464.090 g) and the highest percentage of yield to the duct with 72.88%. Based on the results in the present trial, we can state that the use of ginger flour accomplish with the objective of this study. |
