| Gaia: | The research was based on organic mulch alternatives for the recovery of eroded soils, to evaluate the effect of four organic mulches on the physical, chemical and biological properties of the soil in the development of celery (Apium graveolens) Salache, terrace number 13, Its design was a completely randomized block design (DBCA) with 5 treatments including the control and 5 replications with a total of 25 experimental units, the descriptive, experimental, deductive and field methodology was used, the best results were T2M2 (sigse) in the variables of height (10.36 cm), T1M1 (charcoal) and T2M3 (charcoal) in the variables of height (10.36 cm); T1M1 (charcoal) in number of leaves (8.28%), incidence of pests (2.4%) and diseases (8%); T3M3 (rice husk) for the incidence of weeds (9.6%), soil moisture (33.8 cb) compared to T5M5 (control) with 50 cb, pH from 9.23 to 9.13, organic matter from 0.61% to 1.4%, nitrogen from 1.2 ppm to 8.3 ppm, potassium from 3.22 meq/100g to 3.38 meq/100g. The physical properties in real density T1M1 (coal) presented 2.28 g/ml which did not exceed the critical value of 2.5 g/ml and bulk density in the three depths (0-10 cm, 10-20 cm and 20-30 cm) all treatments did not present values higher than the critical ones (1.50 for loam soils and 1, 70 for sandy loam soils) but in porosity in the three dimensions they are not optimal because they have percentages lower than 60% as T3M3 (rice husk) with 54.81% and the biological properties there was an increase of pathogenic microorganisms from 4 to 6, in beneficial organisms from 2 to 3; In production T2M2 (sigse) presents the best cost benefit of -0.96 for each dollar invested because the soil properties have not ideal values for this crop, we conclude that T2M2 (sigse) is the recommended organic mulch for cultivation, however T1M1 (charcoal) gave better control of pests and diseases, moisture retention. |
