Description
Summary:The present research focuses on the development of a communication network with the objective of pulse control of industrial stepper motors, using the RS485 RTU physical interface for communication between PLC's and HMI. Covering the problem of poor supervision and control in motor systems, the ISO 8482 standard is applied to communicate devices via the RS485 interface and the ISA 101 standard is applied for the design of the HMI. Giving as a solution the availability of equipment that meets the characteristics for data transfer between them such as the INVT IVC1-1410MAT PLC as master/slave and the Wecon HMI Model PI3070ig-0 as slave with its respective programming in the Auto Station software and PIStudio accordingly. Understanding that the RS485 communication network can be established by the Modbus protocol which is used for the interaction between PLC and HMI, on the other hand the N:N Bus protocol which allows the exchange of data between PLCs, which facilitates the delivery of signals to the components of the NEMA 23 motor control system. Demonstrated to be reliable under various operating conditions which certifies in the network for industrial environments meeting the required standards.
