Shrnutí:This research was carried out through a compilation of climatic data provided by the Rumipamba Meteorological Station to make a comparison between the parameters of temperature and precipitation in the period from 1990 to 2019 and the last pandemic year 2020. The Meteorological Station belonging to the National Institute of Meteorology and Hydrology is located in the Salcedo canton at 1° 01' 12" South Latitude and 78° 35' 40.56" West Longitude and at an altitude of 2865 meters above sea level. The main objective was to analyze the behavior of precipitation and temperature according to meteorological records of the Rumipamba Meteorological Station in the last 30 years and the first year of the pandemic. The type of research used was qualitative-quantitative, using the documentary bibliographic research method that allowed us to structure the theoretical foundation and was a support in the research results. In addition, the geographic information in downloadable file format from the National Information System (NIS) was fundamental for the elaboration of the climate maps with the use of ArcGis v10.8 software. The results obtained based on the climatic data provided variability data where the temperature changes of the period under study from 1990 to 2019 indicate that there is a difference of 1.9°C with respect to the pandemic year being the months from January to March the ones with the highest average value, while in the precipitation of the last 30 years had an average of 66 mm monthly, while the monthly average for the year 2020 was 36.6 mm having a difference of 29.4 mm less in the amount of precipitation for the year 2020. Therefore, when comparing the temperature, it is concluded that the monthly average of the year 2020 was higher than the period 1990 - 2020, while the precipitation averages were lower in the year 2020 compared to the period 1990 - 2019 except in the month of November
