সংক্ষিপ্ত:The present research related to the study of proposing strategies for the use and conservation of water resources is increasingly important in environmental research since it allows evaluating the feasibility of capturing water through the collection of fog water (mist catcher). Furthermore, in recent decades, anthropogenic activities have become the main problem of the transformation of ecosystems, modifying or destroying them in order to develop their activities. The main objective of this research was to propose strategies for the capture and conservation of water resources for local supply in the Santa Elena sector of the parish of Juan Montalvo, using the qualitative method, the construction of the rectangular tower-type metallic design of 102 with rashel-type mesh placed at a height of 1.5 m above the surface of the earth taking data every week in a 25 liter tank. Regarding the results obtained from samples in a range of 15 days, it was evident that the maximum value is 19.53 liters on February 22 while the minimum value is 4.23 liters on February 28, benefiting the area. water and its inhabitants. In conclusion, fog catchers contribute to the constant production of usable water for animal consumption and for the irrigation system in agricultural fields, becoming a profitable long-term technology due to the low construction cost and simple operation.
