description The research of the Project was carried out at the Technical University of Cotopaxi, where a study was made of the professors who work as professionals of integrity and high research level. The importance of the study carried out was to identify the factors that influence this problem since reflected in the university environment where the results are affecting the academic processes, the objective was to analyze, identify and establish the psychosocial alterations by stress in Teachers, evaluating three dimensions among them; Emotional exhaustion, depersonalization, personal realization. For which the methodology used was field research that was applied by extracting direct information from reality through the use of data collection techniques in order to respond to the situations previously raised. The instruments and techniques used were the surveys and the MASLACH test which was conducted to the teachers of the university, also conducted the survey and interview with the doctor and occupational psychologist were through them also took the reference to the medical and psychological processes of teachers. Through this investigation, emotional exhaustion was determined, where it turns out to be the psychosocial risk of higher incidence within the studied environment, contributing to the suffering of stress. Therefore, data were collected to mitigate or eliminate the negative consequences, so it was possible to find the physiological, psychological, and emotional effects caused by work stress and the effects that caused the difficulties of educators, causing them to work stress. To sum up, the university professors have a high risk of arriving at stress processes by their labor situation within their work area.

To sum up, the university professors have a high risk of arriving at stress processes by their labor situation within their work area.La investigación del Proyecto se realizó en la Universidad Técnica de Cotopaxi, donde se ejecutó un estudio a los Catedráticos que se desempeñan como profesionales íntegros y con alto nivel investigativo. La importancia del estudio realizado fue identificar los factores que influyen en este problema ya que reflejado en el entorno universitario donde los resultados están afectando a los proceso académicos, el objetivo fue Analizar, identificar y establecer las alteraciones psicosociales por estrés en Docentes, evaluando tres dimensiones entre ellas; Agotamiento emocional, despersonalización, realización personal, por lo cual la metodología utilizada fue la investigación de campo que se aplicó extrayendo información directa de la realidad a través del uso de técnicas de recolección de datos con el fin de dar respuesta a las situaciones planteadas previamente, los instrumentos y técnicas usadas fueron la encuesta y el test de MASLACH el cual se efectuó a los docentes de la universidad, también se realizó la encuesta y la entrevista al médico y psicólogo ocupacional en donde por medio de ellos además se tomó referencia de los procesos médicos y psicológicos de los docentes. Mediante esta investigación se determinó agotamiento emocional, donde resulta ser el riesgo psicosocial de mayor incidencia dentro del entorno estudiado, coadyuvando al padecimiento de estrés. Por ende, se recopilo datos que permitan mitigar o eliminar las consecuencias negativas, así se pudo encontrar los efectos fisiológicos, psicológicos y emocionales causados por estrés laboral y las afectaciones que resultaron las causantes de las dificultades de los educadores ocasionando en ellos estrés laboral.
