Yhteenveto:The objective of the research was to encourage the practice of critical reading of the children of Basic Middle School "César Dávila Andrade" through the appropriate use of the techniques, in this way to improve the learning, in the school year 2016 - 2017, This project is due to the complexity of the students when they must interpret and read texts, get an educational problem in the school, in which the low performance of the students in the different areas of study could be evidenced. The conclusion from of several authors is based on the low performance of students who don’t interpret the texts at the moment they are reading. The right application of methodology as exploratory, descriptive, that we investigated the characteristics of the community involved, described research processes through surveys that allowed to determine the learning disability and their respective techniques that was applied in students who have difficulties in interpreting texts. In the present investigation we mode an analysis of the problem and determine that there are techniques that allow to promote the interest the for reading to achieve spontaneous and fun participation, helping to improve their academic performance in this way to achieve the purpose of research. Contributing to the educational community techniques for learning that were applied in the different areas of study in the curriculum of the Ministry of Education, it is important to analyze and apply different techniques in the classroom, in this way teachers are improving in the education contributing to form critical students. In this way allowing them to improve the student is life, improving academic performance in the classroom to achieve a quality education within the educational institution.
